Your camera never leaves your device.
Plain-language privacy, because a camera tool should earn your trust.

What happens to your camera feed
When you start the camera, your browser hands the video stream directly to this page’s JavaScript. Filters, adjustments, analysis and recording all run on your device. The stream is never sent to a server.
Photos and videos
Captures are held in your tab’s memory as temporary blob URLs. They are saved only when you click download, and they are discarded automatically when you close or reload the tab.
What we store on your device
We save your preferences (selected camera, resolution, filter, mirror and capture settings) in your browser’s local storage so they’re remembered next time. You can clear them anytime by clearing site data in your browser.
Screen recording, scans and QR codes
The screen recorder, document scanner, QR scanner, GIF maker, photo booth, passport photo maker, photo cropper and circle crop, time-lapse and motion detector all work the same way: everything is captured and processed in your browser, and results stay in your tab until you download them. Images you choose with an “upload” or “add images” button are opened locally; they are not sent anywhere.
The background blur AI model
The background blur tool uses Google’s open-source MediaPipe segmentation model. The first time you use it, your browser downloads the model file from Google’s public model storage (storage.googleapis.com) and the runtime from the jsDelivr CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net). Those services see a normal file download request, like loading any web page. Your video is processed on your device by that model and is never sent to Google, jsDelivr or us.
Offline support
After your first visit, a service worker stores copies of this site’s pages and code in your browser so the tools keep working without an internet connection. It caches only our own files, never your photos or videos.
Analytics
We don’t run any analytics or tracking scripts. There are no cookies and no ads.
Permissions
Camera access is requested only when you press a start button (or automatically if you previously granted it). The microphone is requested only when you record a video with audio, record your screen with your voice, or run the mic test. Screen sharing is requested only when you press “Start recording” on the screen recorder. You can revoke access anytime from the lock icon in your browser’s address bar.
Hosting
Like any website, our host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability. These logs never contain images, video or audio.
